Isimeme “Easy” Otabor is proud to present ‘UNITE THROUGH CULTURE’ – the inaugural exhibition of his newly founded Anthony Gallery. In partnership with Jordan Brand and their influential WINGS program, the exhibition places contemporary fine art and basketball culture in conversation, and serves as a preview of Jordan’s Retro Air Jordan XI ‘Bred’ shoe being released later this month. Exclusive merchandise was created for the opening, with all proceeds donated to the arts & athletic programs at Otabor’s alma mater, Hillcrest High School.

Works featured in the exhibition were generously loaned by artists Kosuke Kawamura, Corey Black, Matt McCormick, George Bayliss, ADE Makinde, Wu Yue, and Jacob Rochester. Each piece sources Michael Jordan’s athletic triumphs in 1996, while wearing the original Jordan Bred AJXI shoe, as inspiration. The exhibition also includes a Retro Air Jordan 11 Bred art installation from 2019. Otabor and all artists involved wish to honor and dedicate this work to the legacy of Michael Jordan.

Artists: Georgia Bayliss, Corey Damon Black, Matt McCormick, Jacob Rochester, and Yue Wu.
