Tokyo-born artist Ryota Daimon (b. 1997) is lauded for his pop style and strong color sensibility. With roots in skateboarding, graffiti, and street fashion, his process employs both airbrush and traditional painting techniques to create dynamic images on a range of surfaces.
His compositions consistently explore the intersection of graphic, surreal imagery with visual concepts of space, depth, and focus. A skilled painter, Daimon is no stranger to interdisciplinary work— his practice is punctuated by several instances of live painting at music festivals, a range of branded media partnerships, and fashion collaborations with brands like Nike, Marc Jacobs, and RVCA. He is a graduate of Tokyo’s Musashino Art University.
