About the Exhibition:
The Beginning of This the End of That is an exploration of Crawford’s evolution as an artist, reflecting on the past and looking at the future ahead. As a way of working through the creative process, Crawford explores the hindrance that negative thinking and bad habits can have on the artistic journey, with hopes of breaking through to a new juncture as an artist with a new perspective on the world.
To pay homage to his past, Crawford reinterprets familiar iconography with characters such as the Sun, Driprich & Skip, Swine, Mickey Mouse, Super Grover, and The Smurfs with hopes of striking a sense of positivity with viewers as well as serving as inspiration that linking creativity with perseverance can result in great art.
