Braden Hollis graduated from The Cooper Union with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2020. Exploring themes of intimacy, nostalgia, space, memory, and time, the artist often stages scenes where facial recognition is obsolete – requiring her viewers to be less concerned with “who” is being depicted, but rather sitting the breadth of the narratives Hollis conveys. Her work has exhibited in New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. She is also the recipient of the Slvyia Appleman Painting Award. Holliswas born in Los Angeles, California (b. 1998), where she now lives and works.
